Seeing Life Through The Lens of GOD (Part 2)

First and foremost, I want to apologize for last week, I had problems with my internet connection. So I pray that it doesn't happen in subsequent weeks. Let's pick up where we left off.

  • A temporary assignment: Life on Earth is temporary, it isn't going to last forever. We were made to live with GOD in Heaven, so that makes us foreigners on Earth not citizens of Earth, so we mustn't be too attached to the things on Earth. Otherwise, we are going to end up very disappointed on judgment day. So many Christians have forgotten about Heaven and focus on what is going on here. Another fatal mistake many Christians make is that we think that the purpose GOD has for us has something to do with the legacies and the comfort we have on Earth. The Bible gives us so many people who lived truly for GOD but sacrificed their status and comfort for GOD, Paul lived for GOD but he was beheaded, John (Baptist) was also beheaded, and the infamous crucifixion of Christ, these people were killed and had no great legacy, no fame, no popularity on Earth. They were regarded as nobodies on Earth, but they knew, we know, GOD knew that they did the right thing. In the lens of GOD, the greatest heroes aren't the ones that have the most net worth but the ones that actually lived for Him. If you refuse to understand that your comfort and legacies you set here have nothing to do with GOD's purpose for you, His love is so great that He makes you just sit there, after you've got everything you ever needed, and think: "It that it?", Steve Jobs immersed himself in technology and had achieved everything he wanted, but nearing his death, he realize that life here is nothing compared to what GOD has planned for us in Heaven. We aren't home yet.
I wish I had time to write more, but I unfortunately don't. The next point is "Life as a trust"

Thank you for your time, may GOD richly bless you and keep you.

Thanks to my mum, Rick Warren, and most importantly, GOD.
